(16 Jan. 2007) --- Backdropped by the blackness of space, an
unpiloted Progress 22 supply vehicle departs from the Pirs
Docking Compartment of the International Space Station on
Jan. 16, 2007, carrying its load of trash and unneeded
equipment to be deorbited and burned up in Earth's
atmosphere. The undocking clears the way for the arrival of
a new Progress 24, planned to launch January 17 and dock
with the station on January 19.
